This week we interviewed Rachel Holmes of MetaSpace about her vision to create a virtual hub for community to gather around health, wellness, and spirituality.
Creating MetaSpace
When everyone was in lockdown trying to make sense of the unfolding pandemic, MetaSpace emerged to offer meditation and breathwork to the Web3 community. While the initial idea to bring people together to cope with what was happening came from Yalor, he invited Rachel Holmes to carry out this vision. Despite being new to Web3, Rachel took the idea under her wing last spring and slowly began carving out a space for individuals to explore wellbeing in community. While simultaneously navigating new platforms and novel information, she created, facilitated, and curated meaningful events for a community she herself was new to. In less than a year, MetaSpace has become a hub for individuals to connect around health, wellness, spirituality and beyond. MetaSpace has a rich variety of unique content, offerings, and weekly events—which you can read about below!

Support and Enjoy MetaSpace
Moving forward, Rachel would like to see MetaSpace provide daily offerings while supporting online facilitators, teachers, and wellness professionals through the platform. She is excited to bring in more individuals who can lead and facilitate events – and be fairly compensated for their time. She imagines MetaSpace as a bridge between those who work with blockchain and those who study the mind, body, and divinity—creating a mutually beneficial exchange that people can flow in and out of. She noted that MetaSpace is welcome to everyone to participate – regardless of where they are in their own exploration of these topics. “It’s very important to me that this is not a dogmatic space. There is no right or wrong. There is no good or bad. Your experience is different than my experience and both of those have truth. It is important that this integrity stays—there is nothing that we are preaching here.”
If you want to support MetaSpace—attend an event! Check out the podcast or join a community call. If you are part of a group, reach out to Rachel to learn more about MetaSpace’s subscription service (these are packages available to groups to design their own calendar of events). MetaSpace is also welcoming new facilitators, so if you have an idea for a single or series of events, definitely get in touch! You can connect with MetaSpace on Discord, or reach out to Rachel directly at holmeshealing@gmail.com. *Tip: she is looking for technical help and graphic design for the website!
We are so excited to have MetaSpace as part of the Panvala League and we look forward to watching this space continue to build and nourish the Web3 community!
